Unboxing – TK Maxx

Not entirely skincare, but we all love a haul.

So as you all probably know TK Maxx has reopened, sadly for my bank, and I had to snoop at the bargains. Ok, I could have gotten way more, but there’s only so much my little arms can carry. So here’s your lot:

*I won’t be including any prices as they are discounted items*

Dr. Paw Paw is a brand I always see glimpses of people buying, especially from TK Maxx.

They specialise in these tinted balms, to be used on the lips and cheeks for a splash of colour. I’ve so far used the orange on and it’s relaly lovely. Not very long lasting, more regular application than an average lipstick, but the texture is nice.
As you can see in the swatches, colours are super vibrant, which I didn’t expect at all, a nice suprise really.

HOW stunning is this little find. I live for anything vintage looking, and this looks like it would be perfect on Rose from the Titanic’s vanity, right?

The bottom is mirrored and it has a handy chain for opening. Peony’s are also one of my favourite flowers too, and the ones shown on this give it a really old fashioned feel.

I think I’m going to display my favourite perfumes in this, and would make a lovely setting for blog pictures.

My favourite pick of the bunch.

Company is not shown.

I admit, this was a ‘I trust the brand so I’ll buy the product, but I’m not 100% sure what it does or if I need it” kinda impulse buy… oops.
But for how cheap it was (under £10 on the day that I went in store), it’s worth trying.

This targets redness, so a liquid form of colour correction which is acheived by the green liquid inside, which turns into a beige tone once it hits the skin. I seen one person write a review that they have replaced their foundation with this! I am excited to try it out.

Let me know if you want me to do a full review on this!

This is fast becoming a daily hand cream of mine, mainly down to the smell. I bloody love the smell of pear, it’s so fresh and summery.
It’s super fast absorbing too.

I good all rounder hand cream, the packaging is lovely too.

Right, this image doesn’t do this candle justice, but it’s feckin massive! And I’m sorry but yes, that is the only reason I bought it.

I don’t usually go for vanilla smelling candles, I’m more of a citrus/floral kinda gal. But for the size and price I made a sacrifice.

I also love the lid to this too, very Peter Rabbit-esque.

And also the double wick.

And how’d you light a candle? Fire.

I think you can also get smaller versions of these, but for the size of the candle I got, I need the longer ones.

Me and my friend Bronagh always say how we use hard spaghetti to light the bottom of our candles, but this is much more aesthetically pleasing don’t you think? There’s nothing worse than fishing for the wick and coming out like you’ve just been up a chimmney.

This wouldn’t look out of place if you wanted to display it in your room as the glass exterior and cork top looks pleasing to the eye.

The striking surface is also on the side of the jar, which makes lighting really easy.

I think these specific matches you can purchase on Etsy.

You all know I love some Aveeno. See a review I did here.

My baby Nephew George has not long been born, so I know I have this on hand if we need.

But I also got this for when my skin may become cracked/irritated. I have started work full time again, which requires me to be washing my hands even more than usual. Which can really sensitise my hands.

Aveeno is a trusted brand for tired, need of some love skin.

Eeek! Extremely blurry picture alert. Sorry.

I adore TK Maxx for it’s shoes. It won’t be for everyone’s taste but I love the array of vintage/retro options they have which many places don’t do anymore. I also love that they have their sizes in sections in the store, so you know where you’re at.

The older I get, the less able I can walk in heels. Yes, that should be the other way round, but it’s not, (you should see the platforms I used to strut around in when I was a teen!). So I wee block heel like this is perfect. The pointed toe also give a mature feel.

That’s all for this hall!

I want to apologise for the image quality in this post, I think I had the camera on the wrong setting, I’ll do better next time promise.

I’d love to know your TK Maxx finds, send me a DM of them on Intagram.

Remember, Love your skin? Come and join in!

L.K. x
